Artist statement
With a BA in geoscience and photography my artistic expression is rooted in environment and nature, exploring the intricate relationship between mankind and the natural world.
My artistic process draws upon influences such as archive, fiction, philosophical- and scientific texts. Research begins in theory as well as in analogue processes. In my work as an artist I also examine topics such as longing and memory from an autobiographical perspective.
My work often takes the form of spatial sculptures to create a a sense of curiosity and wonder, while also inviting the viewer to enter a dialogue with the artpiece and the physical space.
